Obituary of Nellie Helen Fittipaldi

Mrs. Nellie Helen Fittipaldi, age 96, died on Friday, March 2, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Mrs. Fittipaldi was born and raised in Jersey City to the late George Macchia and Anna Ippolito. She had lived in Watchung before residing in North Plainfield for 23 years. Mrs. Fittipaldi was a communicant of St. Marys Stony Hill Church, Watchung, a member of the St. Josephs Rosary Altar Society and a member of the North Plainfield, Watchung, and Tri-County Senior Citizens Clubs. Mrs. Fittipaldi was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1969. She is survived by her son, Patrick Fittipaldi and his wife Phyllis of Warren; her daughter, Ann Bittone and her husband Richard of Whitehouse Station; a brother, George Macchia; three sisters, Margaret Kuntz, Ann Coons, Josephine Macchia; 6 grandchildren Lisa, Joseph, Carol, Richard, David, and Ronald. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 7th at 8:45 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Marys Stony Hill Church, Watchung. Interment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
