Obituary of Marie Rita Perone

Marie R. Perone, age 74, died on Saturday March 3, 2007 at her home in North Plainfield. Mrs. Perone was born and raised in Newark NJ and had resided in North Plainfield for 49 years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Chapel in West Orange and of St. Joseph's R.C. Church in North Plainfield. Mrs. Perone was a Third Order Franciscan Nun. She is predeceased by her parents Allison James and Catherine Flanagan and her sister Rita Landis Surviving are her loving husband Dominic Perone; five sons Richard Perone and his wife Stacey of Coopersburg, PA, Peter Perone and his wife Karen of Hillside, NJ, Michael Perone of Edison, NJ, John Perone of North Plainfield, NJ, and James Perone and his wife Melissa of Brick NJ; three daughters Lorraine Chidester and her husband Charles of Montrose, PA, Mary Perone of Bound Brook, NJ and Anne Marie Perone of Morristown, NJ; six grandchildren Monica and Patrick Perone, Collin, Mary Catherine, Elizabeth and Andrew Chidester. She is also survived by her sister Joan Niland of Oregon. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 on Tuesday March 6, 2007 at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ 07060 followed by a 11:00 am funeral mass at St. Anthony Padua Chapel in West Orange NJ. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery in Watchung. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
