Dorothy Shoppe was very much loved by her familiy. I remember when she came out to California with her husband, George, and she stopped by to see me. I was in my early thirties at the time, am now 71, and it seems like yesterday. She was thrilled about Colin's birth and asked me what I thought about his name. I responded that I thought it was an unusual name, but I knew I would grow to like it over the years. She smiled. Indeed, her grandson Colin, and her granddaughter, Laura,who was born later, grew to make their grandmother proud. Dorothy always had the love and company of her daughter, Pam, and Pam's husband, Jim. She was a good person who always had a kind word and smile for anyone she met.
