Obituary of John P. Tedesco

John P. Tedesco, age 79, died on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at his home in Lakewood. Born in Plainfield, he resided in Warren before moving to Lakewood in 1996. Mr. Tedesco was a career firefighter for the City of Plainfield for 30 years; he retired as the Deputy Chief in 1981. He was a member of the F.M.B.A. He then worked as the Building Inspector for the township of Randolph until retiring in 1995. John loved golf and spending time with his family and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of the Mount R. C. Church in Warren and was a past member of St. Marys Church, Plainfield. He is survived by his loving wife Minnie Cortese Tedesco; his sons Anthony Tedesco of Middlesex; John Tedesco of Bayville; daughters Anna Levin of Columbia, MD.; Mary Tedesco-Schneck of Bangor, ME and seven grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 27th, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Mount R. C. Church in Warren. A visitation will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Warren from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Friday as well. Interment to follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Plainfield.
