Obituary of Tillie Patricia Kopala

Watchung: Tillie P. Kopala, age 96, died on Sunday May 13, 2007 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Newark, she had lived there most of her life until moving to Watchung five years ago. Prior to retiring in 1963, Mrs. Kopala worked for Western Electric in Kearny for 36 years. She was a lifetime member of their Telephone Pioneers of America. Mrs. Kopala was a past member of St. Casimir's R.C. Church in Newark and was a member of the Ironbound Senior Citizens in Newark. She enjoyed knitting, crafting with her senior citizens club and traveling. She is predeceased by her husband Frank Kopala in 1965; her parents Paul Dobrowolski in 1976 and Marcianna Dobrowolski in 1951; a brother Stanley Dobrowolski in 1957; and two sisters Catherine Kadaraitis in 2000 and Mae Krakowiecki in 1979. Aunt Tillie was a devoted Aunt to five generations of many loving nieces and nephews. She enjoyed all family gatherings and attended all celebrations. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 am on Thursday May 17th at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. Mary's Stony Hill R.C. Church in Watchung. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
