Obituary of Anna P. Brooks

Mrs. Anna P. (Montford) Brooks, age 84, died on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. She was born and raised in Macon, GA to the late John Wesley Montford and Hattie Shields. She has resided in Plainfield for the past 5 years. She was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church in Scotch Plains. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, teaching bible study and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Emmett M. Brooks in 1989. She is survived by her son, Douglas M. Brooks of Boston, MA; her daughter, Annette Pate and her husband Richard of Plainfield; daughter-in-law, Mattie F. Brooks of Macon, GA and six grandchildren, Brenda, Cheryl, Russell, Steve, Leighsa and Deborah; also several great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in St. Johns Baptist Church, 2387 Morse Avenue, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. The interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
