Obituary of Rose Wexler
Rose (Seiden) Wexler, age 95, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at JFK Medical Center Hospice in Edison.
Born and raised in Jersey City, she resided in Clark before moving to Edison in 1995.
She was a member of Congregation Ohav Sholom in Jersey City. Mrs. Wexler had been a member of Hadassah and The Colonial Link of the Golden Chain. She volunteered for the American Heart Association and the Red Cross. In addition, she would transcribe books into Braille for the blind. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Wexler was employed for over 10 years for the State Inheritance Tax Office in Jersey City.
She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin Wexler (1983) and her seven siblings.
Surviving are her three children, Sidney and his wife, Leslie, of Hastings, NY, Kenneth and his wife, Sherry, of Waltham, MA and Ruth Smith and her husband, Neil, of Green Brook; five grandchildren, Paul Wexler, Stephanie Coutu, Eric Wexler, Amy Smith and Todd Wexler and two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Joshua Coutu.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
