Obituary of Joseph Francis Bialecki
Mr. Joseph "Joe" Francis Bialecki, 79, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at his daughter's home in Green Brook.
Born and raised in Newark, graduating from St. Benedicts High School, he lived in Union for 52 years.
A tool and die maker for over 40 years, Mr. Bialecki was employed for 15 years by Orbit Tool and Die in Springfield, retiring in 1991.
Mr. Bialecki served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Connecticut Farms Post # 35, Union.
A communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Irvington, Joe was a devoted grandfather to his only granddaughter, Marissa Rose Bialecki. He was a "jack of all trades", who enjoyed fishing, following the stock market, watching baseball as a "New York Yankees Fan", completing crossword puzzles, bird watching and ice skating.
His beloved wife of 52 years, Rose Bialecki, predeceased him in 2004, as did his five brothers, Edward, Henry, Casimir, Steven and Stanley Bialecki.
Surviving are his two daughters, Patricia "Tish" Bialecki and her husband Frank M. Russo of Green Brook and Karen Cohen and her husband Timothy of Charlotte, NC and his granddaughter, Marissa Rose Bialecki.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 9:30 am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by a 10 am Mass of Resurrection at St. Mary's Stony Hill R.C. Church in Watchung and entombment at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery in Watchung. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
