Obituary of Edward H. Wolocen
Edward H. Wolocen, age 89, died on Friday, June 08, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
Edward was born in Jersey City; he grew up in Amsterdam, NY and has lived in North Plainfield for the past 45 years.
Edward worked for Engelhard Minerals & Chemical Company in Edison in their maintenance department, and he also owned and operated the Delight Bakery in Plainfield.
He served in the Army during W.W.II as a baker in England where he baked cakes and pastries for 3,000 men per meal. He was a member of the Central Jersey Radio Control Club, and he built and flew model airplanes.
Edward is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anne P. Duroska Wolocen; his two sons, Peter W. of Orange, TX and Edward J. and his wife Janise of Sailorsburg, PA; two daughters, Patricia A. Bollenbach of Middlesex and Pamela J. Brevard of East Stroudsburg, PA; one sister, Mildred Farina of FL; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation is private. To send condolences go to www.higginsfuneralhome.com
