Obituary of Martha Teuber

Mrs. Martha (Peg) Teuber, 94, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at her home. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she resided in Elizabeth before moving to Berkeley Heights 40 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1978, Mrs. Teuber worked for 38 years as a self-employed needleworker in Westfield. Peg volunteered at Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights for over 20 years; retiring in 2004 with 17,000 hours of service. She was a 50 year member and teacher at the Diamond Hill United Methodist Church in Berkeley Heights. The majority of her spare time was spent knitting, gardening and volunteering. Mrs. Teuber was predeceased by her husband, Walter Teuber, in 1993; her son, William W. Teuber, in 1986 and a brother, Bernard Pape. Surviving are her daughter, Sandy Gorczynski and her husband Stan of Houston, TX; a brother, William Pape of FL; two grandchildren, Debbie Merritt of Porter, TX and Lucy Blomstedt and her husband, Kevin Blomstedt of Woodlands, TX and two great grandchildren, Dalton Merritt and Nicholas Braedon Blomstedt. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 10:30 am at the Diamond Hill United Methodist Church, 105 Diamond Hill Rd., Berkeley Heights. Memorial donations to the Atlantic Home Care and Hospice, 33 Bleeker Street, Millburn, NJ 07041, would be deeply appreciated.
