Obituary of Sr. Mary Timothy Finnegan, R.S.M.

Watchung: Sister Mary Timothy Finnegan, R.S.M. 94, died peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2007 at McAuley Hall Health Care Center, Watchung, NJ. Sister M. Timothy was born in Germantown, PA and entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1936. She received a BS degree in Elementary Education at Georgian Court College and a Master's degree in Education from Villanova University. She taught in several Mercy Schools in New Jersey through the years including, St. Mary, Trenton; Phillipsburg Catholic High School and Holy Cross, Rumson. She also contributed Auxiliary Services in Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill and Mount Saint Mary Academy in Watchung, NJ. Sister moved to McAuley Hall Health Care Center in 1991 and continued her ministry of prayer. Visitation will take place at McAuley Hall Health Care Center in Saint Catherine of Siena Chapel on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 8:30 - 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield, NJ.
