Obituary of Elizabeth U. Curtin

Betty U. Belon Curtin, 93, died Friday, July 13, 2007 at Harborside Healthcare Woods Edge in Bridgewater. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she resided at the Sunrise, Basking Ridge. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Curtin was employed for many years by the Y.M.H.A. in Union. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, playing cards, reading and relaxing with her family at the seashore. Her husband, Thomas J. Curtin predeceased her in 2002. Surviving are her two sons, Thomas B. Curtin and his wife Sharon of Arlington, VA and Ronald J. Curtin and his wife Maureen of Martinsville; four grandchildren, Lauren, Bryan, Katie and Greg Curtin; a sister-in-law, Marie Stewart of Edison and a niece, Frances Stewart. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 am.at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by an 11 am funeral Mass at St. Lukes R.C. Church in North Plainfield and entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations to Somerset Hills Hospice, 12 Olcott Ave., Bernardsville, NJ 07924 would be appreciated.
