Obituary of Sister Elllen Grace McBride

OBITUARY Sister Ellen Grace McBride Sister of Mercy Watchung: Sister Ellen died peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2007 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ Sister was born in Philadelphia, PA and entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1951. She received a BS degree in Business Administration from Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ Through the years Sister Ellen taught in several elementary and high schools in New Jersey. Her degree in Business Administration offered her many opportunities in secretarial and administrative positions. Sister Ellen was a gracious Mercy presence wherever her ministry led her. She retired to Mount Saint Mary in Watchung in 2005. She continued to volunteer her services at Mount Saint Mary and was also a welcome presence at McAuley Hall Gift Shop. She is survived by her loving brother, Joseph and his wife Jackie of Marlton, NJ; her sister, Marie McBride of Washington, DC; her nephews, Michael McBride and his wife Laura of Hoboken, NJ; Kevin McBride and his wife Karolyn of Boston; a niece Lesley McBride Goudsmit and her husband Kees of New York City. Visitation will take place at McAuley Hall Health Care Center, Saint Catherine of Siena Chapel on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 25th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Mercy, MidAtlantic Community, Mount Saint Mary, 1645 Highway 22, Watchung, NJ 07069 Arrangements are by Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung.
