Obituary of William G. Zanowic
William G. Zanowic, age 74, died on Sunday August 5th, 2007 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.
Born in Plainfield, he was a lifelong North Plainfield resident.
Mr. Zanowic was an investigator for Equifax in Marlboro for over 28 years.
William served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a 21year member of the American Legion Post #209 in Scotch Plains. In addition, he was a member of the Watchung Elks Lodge, Post #2252, coached many teams while a member of the North Plainfield Recreation League and as a member of the Queen City Club, raced pigeons for over 10 years.
He was also a communicant of St. Josephs Church in North Plainfield.
Mr. Zanowic is survived by his wife, Clare Germain Zanowic; his sons, Steven P. Zanowic and his wife Kathleen of Alexandria, VA and William G. Zanowic and his wife Danielle of Hillsborough; his daughters, Laurie Evers and her husband Brad of Hillsborough and Lynn C. Nann and her husband Frank of Barnegat; his brothers, James Zanowic of Florida and Paul Zanowic of California and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 9th 2007 at 8:30 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Followed by a 9:30 Mass of Resurrection at St. Josephs Church in North Plainfield.
