Obituary of Georgette Oborne

Martinsville: Georgette Jennings Oborne, age 89, died on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at her home. She was born the daughter of George and Mary (nee Stangle) Jennings in Warren, NJ, where she had grown up. After her marriage to Lyman Oborne, she moved to South Plainfield where she had resided until moving to Martinsville in 1958. Mrs. Oborne was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a member of Wilson Memorial Union Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Lyman Oborne in 1996, 3 brothers, Allen, Stanley and Henry Jennings; 2 sisters, Dorothy Jennings and Maude Prystash. Surviving are her sons, Norman Oborne of FL, Harry Oborne of Martinsville and Fred Oborne of Pine Beach, NJ; 3 brothers, Jerry Jennings of Kearny, Andrew Jennings of Manville and Thomas Jennings of Piscataway; her grandchildren, Matthew, Kenneth, David, Gregory and Eric and her great-grandchild, Joseph. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 5th at 11:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Followed by a 12:00 p.m. funeral service at Wilson Memorial Union Church. Interment will be at Springdale Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m..
