Obituary of Carl J. Paltjon

Carl J. Paltjon, age 70, died suddenly on Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born and raised in Hazelton, PA. he resided in Piscataway for 15 years, before moving to Green Brook 31 years ago. Mr. Paltjon owned and started Calmar Electric in 1968. He was the past President of Four County Electric. He was involved in various organizations in this area including Middlesex Elks, Knights of Columbus & Holy Name Society in Dunellen, Green Brook Zoning Board and the Little League of Piscataway. Mr. Paltjon was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He is predeceased by his grandson Matthew Paltjon in 2004. Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years Marva (Smith) Paltjon; his sons David and his wife Kathy; Jim and his wife Beth, Jeff and his wife Laura; Joey and his wife Melissa; Danny and his wife Jackie and his daughter Donna Kuzmenko and her husband Kevin; his twelve grandchildren Stephanie, Jaime, Kristyn, Brianne, Brittany, Bridget, Corey, Anthony, Charlie, Krista, Skylar and Danny, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 10th at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dan Paltjon Fund, 231A Greenbrook Road, Green Brook, NJ 08812.
