Obituary of Kenneth P. Reagan

Warren" Kenneth P. Reagan, age 85, died on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his home in Warren. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Plainfield before moving to Warren 63 years ago. Mr. Reagan received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Rutger 's University. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church for over 55 years and served as an usher. Mr. Reagan was a Project Manager for various prestigious construction companies such as Frank Briscoe Construction. He worked on the Meadowlands and Mile High Stadium and many others. He was a former Chief of the Mount Bethel Fire Department, serving as a volunteer fireman for over 55 years.He was a life member of the NJ State Fireman's Relief Association and represented Somerset County. He was also a member of NJ State Fire Chief's Association. In addition he was an original member of the Auxiliary Police Department of Warren, an honorary member of the Warren PBA and a volunteer of the Warren Extrication Team. Mr. Reagan was an excellent carpenter and artist. He loved the Yankees, Giants and animals but most of all, he loved his family. He is predeceased by his son, Brian Reagan in 2005 and his brother, Terrance Crockett. Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Doris J. Lauer Reagan; his daughter, Shelley Reagan-Binazeski and her husband, Gary; his daughter-in-law, Sally Pierson Reagan; his sisters, Joan Shields, Bernice Kleile and Barbara Crockett; his grandchildren, Keli and Michael and his great-grandson, Brian Kenneth. Funeral services will begin on Monday, March 25th at 12:15 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his loving memory to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Northern New Jersey Chapter, 14 Commerce Drive, Suite 301, Cranford, NJ 07016 or to the Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care 1900 Raritan Road Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
