I remember sitting at Mary Vic's dining room table nursing a cup of tea as we talked and laughed about many things. She shared stories about her life with me and listened patiently to me grumble about my "boring" life in Plainfield. Mary Vic didn't seem bored with anything, nor did I hear her grumble. I'm a better person for having known her.

Condolences to the family. It is hard to lose your mother. As the senior member of our church, "Mary Vic" was a warm welcoming personage. Rather than a "pillar of the church," her smile and her laughter made her the heart. Though I only knew her in the past five years, I will miss her.

Mary Vic was very supportive of my going into the Unitarian Universalist ministry; she followed my career very closely, always asking great questions with that wonderful laughter of hers. Whenever I came to NJ from Florida, I would call her up and say that I would come visit with her; her response "Good, oh good." I will miss her. Deep sympathy to all the family.

To the Family of Mrs. Griswold'
I was saddened to read of the passing of your wonderful Mom. I remember her with fondness. I always appreciated her warmhearted smile and interest in others. She had a beautiful, long, and accomplished life, didn't she?
She, and all of you, will be in my thoughts and prayers in the coming days.
Sincerely, Sandy Smith Hannon

I wnet to school with Vicky Griswold at Evergreen School. I believe it was during my year as a Brownie that I was invited with a group of girls to Mrs. Griswold's home. I still have fond memories of learning how to play charades in their attic. It was a new experience to be in such a lovely, old home with an attic full of dress-up clothes. It is a memory that has lasted me about 57 years. Condolences to her family.

I never got the opportunity to meet Mary but my grandmother (Christine Langston) cared a great deal for her and the entire Griswold family. Over the years not a single conversation went by when I did not inquire about Mary's well being. My grandmother spoke highly of her and her passing felt as if I lost a family member.
Deepest sympathies,
Jeff L. Langston
