Obituary of Ernesto Leaty

Plainfield: Ernesto A. Leaty Sr., age 69, died on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at his home in Plainfield. Mr. Leaty, known to locals, as Papi was an entrepreneur, including several businesses such as gas station, restaurant and bar, grocery store, property investor in several cities in New Jersey. He enjoyed jogging reading, cooking (Cuban Cuisine) and traveling. He is a member of the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall located on West 4th Street in Plainfield. He is survived by his wife Justa Martinez Leaty; four children, Ernesto Leaty, Jr., Eduardo Leaty, Ricardo Leaty, Marilyn Leaty-Nieves; his brother, Jose Antonio Leaty and 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18th at 11 a.m at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield.
