Obituary of Kathryn Y. Vickers

Kathryn Yurko Vickers, 86, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away on October 20, 2007. She was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Plainfield, NJ in 1950. She was the widow of Henry R. Vickers who died in 1975. They owned and operated H. R. Vickers Roofing Company, Inc. for 25 years. After Mr. Vickers passed away, Mrs. Vickers operated the business until 1982, at which time it was sold. Surviving are two daughters, Shirley A. Furino of Flemington, NJ, and Kathryn E. Bousquet of Basking Ridge, NJ, two granddaughters, Aimee Singer and Jennifer Bousquet and three grandsons, Gregory, Randy and T.J. Furino, six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Margaret Sabol of Forty-Fort, PA. The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Marys Stony Hill Church, 225 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 24th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association will be greatly appreciated.
