Obituary of Louise R. Tunison

Louise R. (Glenn) Tunison, age 83, died on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Louise was born in New Brunswick and had lived most of her life in Plainfield. She worked for the City of Plainfield as a Manager for the Housing Authority for about 15 years retiring in 1988. Prior to that she worked as a Manager for Met Life in New York, and also did some modeling in New York. She was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church in Plainfield, a volunteer at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, and she enjoyed her ceramic classes with the Plainfield Senior Citizens Group. Louise is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eugene Tunison of Plainfield; her son, Glenn Tunison of Richmond, VA; her daughter, Juanda Peterman of Plainfield; her sister, Dolores Glenn of Plainfield; 4 grandchildren, Tamika Tunison, Robert Peterman, Jahiem Tunison and Hussein Tunison; many great grandchildren and a host of relatives and loving friends. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30th at 11 a.m. in St. Marks Episcopal Church, 1430 Park Avenue, Plainfield with Canon Lyons officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
