Obituary of Helen Swank

Plainfield: Helen Swank, age 76, died on November 6, 2007 at her home in Plainfield. She was born in Shickshinny, PA and had lived in Plainfield for the past 50 years. Prior to her retirement in 1996, she was a winder for Howl Electric Motors in Plainfield. Mrs. Swank was an avid bingo player, playing up to 4 times a week. She also enjoyed playing cards with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Swank in 1998; her brother, Larue Kile and her sister, Mildred Diehl. Surviving are her son, Robert B. Swank, Jr. and his wife, Theresa of North Plainfield; her brother, Bruce Kile of Shickshinny, PA; her sister, Lena Kile of FL; her grandchildren, Robyn and Samantha and a great-grandson, Michael. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield. Additional visiting will be held on Friday, November 9th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at The Mayo Funeral Home,Inc. 77 North Main St., Shickshinny, PA. Interment will be at the Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn, PA. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, 19 Schoolhouse Road, Somerset, NJ 08873.
