Obituary of William E. Deuber

William E. Deuber passed away on November 12, 2007 in the arms of his daughter from congestive heart failure and complications due to lung cancer. He resided in Warren, NJ. He was a devoted father and animal lover often stopping along the road to help various animals avoid getting hit by cars. He was born July 8 in Philadelphia and served with the Marines during World War II. He retired from Lance Inc. After retiring from Lance Inc., he held a succession of bank messenger jobs starting with Central Bank of New Jersey, United National, Unity Bank and Advantage Bank becoming Employee of the Year in 1998 at Advantage Bank. He always had a kind word for everyone he met and always had a story to tell. He was a member of the North Plainfield Lions Club and The American Legion of North Plainfield. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Dorothy in March, 2007. He leaves behind his best friend and daughter, Jean and son-in-law Gerth and his two dogs, Rosie and Sophie, his sister Shirley Curtis and sisters-in-law Betty Nastasi of Marietta, GA and Jean Tegeler of Middlesex and nephew Joseph Nastasi of Marietta, GA and grand-nieces and grand-nephew. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Entombment is private. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. He is going to the Rainbow Bridge and there he is meeting up with his beloved Dorothy and all their dogs.
