Obituary of John Kirchoff

North Plainfield: John Kirchoff, age 63, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at his home. John was born in Germany and had lived in Green Brook before residing in North Plainfield 7 years ago. He attended Farleigh Dickinson University receiving his BS degree in Engineering in 1972. John worked for Howell Electric Motors in Plainfield for 30 years as an Electrical Engineer retiring a few months ago. He was an avid reader who in his spare time enjoyed barbequing, fishing and gardening. He is predeceased by his mother, Ilse Omi Kirchoff. He is survived by his wife, Connie Martinez Kirchoff; his two daughters, Jennifer McAuliffe and her husband Michael of Lawrenceville; Melissa Kirchoff Gankiewicz and her husband Joseph of West Windsor; also his son, Mitch Netto of CA and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Monday, December 3rd at 9 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Lukes R.C. Church, Clinton Avenue, North Plainfield. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to your favorite charity.
