Obituary of Martha Ruth Colley

Martha Ruth (Bobo) Colley, age 81, died on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Overlook Hospital. Mrs. Colley was born in Aberdeen, North Carolina and had lived in Summit for over 50 years. She was a member of Wallace Chapel and many other social groups over the years. Mrs. Colley enjoyed her family and friends most. Her hobbies included collecting antiques, cooking, sewing, and all types of puzzles. She was a gentle and gracious lady to all she met. She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur Colley with whom she was married for over 50 years in August of 1998. Mrs. Colley is survived by her daughter, Sondra Ruth Mingus-Clark of Plainfield , her stepson, Eddie Ross- Colley of South Carolina; her grand children, Lisa Gibbs and husband Gerry, Walter Berry Clark III and wife Carine, great grandchildren, Ashley Taylor Clark, Pierce and Quincy Clark Gibbs, sisters, Minnie Hamilton, Alta Mae Gill, Marie Bobo, brother John Bobo, brothers-in-law George and Herbert Colley, sisters-in-law, Edith Bynum, Juanita Neal and Ruth Byrd. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. Funeral arrangements and services are with Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 W 8th St. Plainfield. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 starting a 6:00PM. A repast will be held at the BUFHHS, 403 W. 7th St. immediately following the services.
