Obituary of Apolonia Fydryszewska
Apolonia Fydryszewska, age 99, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at her daughters home in Watchung.
Mrs. Fydryszewska was displaced from her home in Poland in 1940. She spent the war years with her two daughters in camps in Siberia, Persia and Africa. After the war she immigrated to England where she joined her husband and son. She and her family came to the United States in 1952. After residing in Elizabeth and Linden, she moved to Middlesex in 1985.
Mrs. Fydryszewska worked in a sewing factory in Elizabeth for 20 years before retiring in 1973.
Mrs. Fydryszewska was predeceased by her husband Jan and son Zygmunt. Surviving are her two daughters, Teodora Szamborski and her husband Edmund and Anna Palasits and her husband Robert, together with seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 8:30 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Mary Stony Hill R.C. Church, Watchung. Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
