Obituary of Jean Orlando
Warren: Jean Misuraca Orlando, age 86, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She was born in Manhattan and spent most of her life in Brooklyn before moving to New Jersey in 1980.
Prior to her retirement in 1986, Mrs. Orlando owned and operated her own dress factory in Brooklyn for over 35 years.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church and belonged to the churchs Senior Citizen Club. She also belonged to the Seniors of Warren.
Mrs. Orlando enjoyed needle point and cross stitch and antiquing. She was an accomplished gardener who was very good with her plants. She has a home on Candlewood Lake in Connecticut where she loved spending time.
Mrs Orlando is predeceased by her first husband, Russell Misuraca and her second husband, Daniel Orlando.
Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Giustra and her husband Frank of Maine, Mary Anne Jakubowsky and her husband Alec of Long Island and Christine Crandall and her husband Brian of Warren; her brother, Anthony Cacciatore of FL; her sister Ann Sharkey of Watchung and 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and expecting 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 9:15 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church. Interment will be at St. Peters Cemetery, Danbury, CT. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm
