Obituary of Ruth Fletcher

Ruth Fletcher, age 71, died on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at her home in Westfield. She was born in Newark and had lived in Toms River and Plainfield before moving to Westfield a year ago. Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed horse racing, bingo, traveling to Atlantic City and scratch off lottery tickets. She was devoted to her sons and her cat, Poker. She is survived by her sons, David of Toms River, Gary and his partner, Carmine of Plainfield and Robert of South Jersey; her brother, Richard Chybinski; her sisters, Kathleen, Maybelle, Joanne, Rose Marie and Elizabeth; her grandchildren, David, Jr., Jessica, Kristina, Toni and her husband Paul, Crystal and Angel; her great-grandchildren, Gabby, Hailey, P.J. and Nicky and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Cremation is private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
