Obituary of Sylvia Berger

Sylvia Berger, age 92, died on Saturday January 19, 2008 at Green Brook Manor in Green Brook. Mrs. Berger was born and had grown up in Brooklyn NY and has resided in North Plainfield since 1950. Mrs. Berger was an active member of Temple Sholom in Plainfield, where she was the director of their adult education program for many years. Surviving are; her husband of 67 years Irving Berger; a son Eric Berger MD of Manhattan, NY; a daughter Alice Schellhorn of MA; a grandson Eric Schellhorn of CA. Her brother Harvey Hausner also survives her. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday January 22, 2008 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ with Rabbi Joel Abraham officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin.
