Obituary of Eleanor Newallis

Watchung: Eleanor Newallis, age 78, died on Sunday February 10, 2008 at her home in Watchung. Born and raised in Elizabeth she had lived in Watchung for 15 years. Eleanor had worked at Sears in Watchung as a Cashier and Saleswoman. She attended St. Patricks High School in Elizabeth and was a member of St. Marys Stony Hill Church, Watchung. She is predeceased by her husband Richard J. Newallis, Sr. in 2001. Surviving are her son Capt. Richard J. Newallis, Jr.; daughter Kristine Reck and her husband Kurt; brother Raymond Fernandez, Sr.; sister Barbara Ulaki and two grandchildren, Nicole and Richard. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 14th, from 9-10 a.m. at St. Marys Stony Hill Church, 225 Mountain Blvd., Watchung (www.stmaryswatchung.org) followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Gertrudes R.C. Cemetery, Colonia. Funeral Services are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung.
