Obituary of Raymond Charles Pierson

Raymond C. "Rainy" Pierson, age 81, died on Friday April 5, 2013 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park. Mr. Pierson was born and had been a lifelong resident of Plainfield NJ. Mr. Pierson proudly served in the United States Navy and in the Air Force during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement Mr. Pierson worked for 10 years at Topps Appliance in Edison NJ. He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching Jeporady and loved animals especially dogs. Surviving are his siblings Marie Moore of Plainfield, Arthur Pierson of VA, Carol Parker of Plainfield and Gloria Williams of Roselle. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends. A Funeral serivce will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ. Cremation will be private.
