Obituary of Betty Mae Scarboro

Plainfield: Betty Mae Scarboro, age 76, passed away tragically on Friday, February 15 2008 at her home in Plainfield. Mrs. Scarboro was born and raised in Wake County, NC and had been a long time Plainfield resident. Prior to her retirement in 1992, Mrs. Scarboro worked as an operations technician for Unisys (formerly Burroughs) for over thirty years in Flemington, NJ. She is survived by her stepmother Ollie Mae Jones of Wendell, NC; two brothers Harvey Jones of Chicago, IL and Charles E. Jones of Durham, NC; four sisters Mary Jackson of Plainfield, NJ, Dorothy Thomas of Wendell, NC, Loretta Atkinson of Wendell, NC and Cheryl Koger of Chester, VA. She is also survived by a host of nephews and nieces, extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday February 21, 2008 at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield. The interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ. Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home.
