Obituary of Dorothy Robinson

Dorothy Robinson, 94, daughter of the late David and Fannie (Rosenthal) Robinson, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at her home. Born and raised in Plainfield, she moved to Monroe 20 years ago, residing at Monroe Village the last five years. Dorothy received her B.S. degree from Trenton State College in 1936 and completed her Masters degree from NYU. Prior to retiring in 1975, Dorothy was a teacher at Cranford High School for 33 years. Previously, she taught at Manasquan High School for 3 years. She had been a member of the former Temple Beth El in Plainfield. Her sisters, Marie R. Taub, Sarah Goldhammer and Florence L. Robinson all predeceased her. Surviving are a brother, Ellis Robinson of Highland Beach, FL, a sister, Bernice Malovany of Monroe Twp and many lovingly devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 11:30 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield followed by interment at Hebrew Cemetery in South Plainfield.
