Obituary of Mildred Evelyn Frankel

Bridgewater: Mildred Evelyn Isaacson Frankel, 82, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Plainfield, she was raised in North Plainfield and had resided in Cleveland, OH and Somerville before moving to Bridgewater in 1960. Mildred graduated from Plainfield High School in 1943 and received her R.N. degree from Newark Beth Israel School of Nursing in Newark. Mrs. Frankel worked alongside her husband, Dr. Theodore H. Frankel, a surgeon at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, as both an R.N. and accountant until they both retired. Her husband predeceased her in 2004. Surviving are a son, Jared Frankel of Hightstown; three daughters, Adonna Frankel Smith and her husband Paul of Nevada, Susan Frankel Rocco, D.O and her husband Mario of Berkeley Heights and Debra H. Frankel Coyle and her husband Robert of Bridgewater. Also survived by two grandchildren, Sophia and Francesca Rocco. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 9:45 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
