Obituary of Warren L. Jennings
Watchung: Warren L. Jennings, age 92, died on Saturday August 25, 2012 at the King James Care Center in Chatham. Born in Stamford CT, Mr. Jennings had resided in North Plainfield for 27 years and Toms River for 29 years before moving to Watchung last year.
Mr. Jennings was a professional house painter and wallpaper hanger. He is a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Force. Mr. Jennings was a past member of St. Joseph's RC Church in North Plainfield where he often helped with bingo. He was also a member of the North Plainfield Italian American Club and the Elks Club. After moving he became involved with St. Joseph's RC Church of Toms River and a member of the Men's Club and the Rescue Squad. Mr. Jennings was known for the care he put into his home with a manicured lawn or a fresh coat of paint, his houses always looked the best. The most import thing to him was spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and the great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Anne (DeFranza) Jennings; a son Brian Jennings and his wife Cindy of Watchung; two daughters Marilyn Beede and husband James of Chester and Jeanne Fusco and her husband Fred of New Providence; four grandchildren Kristen Robertiello and husband Ed; Karen Baldwin and her husband David; Steven Fusco and his fiance Olivia and Daniel Fusco. He is also survived by five great grandchildren Olivia, Cole, Roman, Mia and Luke.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in North Plainfield. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals Watchung NJ.
