Obituary of Walter G. Kenney

Walter G. Kenney, age 90, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. He was born in Elizabeth, raised in Roselle and had lived in Cranford for 20 years before moving to Warren in 1963. Mr. Kenneys career spanned 47 years at Western Electric in Kearney. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a Ham Radio Operator and his call letters were W2IZC. Mr. Kenney is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret C. (Gilbert) Kenney; his daughter, Betty Kenney Ganley of Great Falls, VA: his son, George Kenney of St. Cloud, FL; his sister, Ann Cook, formerly of Ocean Port, NJ; his 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on March 24, 2008.
