Obituary of Dr. Robert H. Null
Robert H. Null, M.D., age 89, died on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Naples Community Hospital in Naples, FL.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Null had lived in Plainfield since 1949 before moving to North Plainfield in 1976. He also had a residence in Loveladies, NJ.
Dr. Null served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Dr. Null received his Bachelors Degree from Ursinus College in 1940 and his Medical Degree from Hahneman Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He was a Senior Attending Surgeon at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield prior to retiring in 1988. He was a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a member of the American Medical Association, a Diplomat of the American Board of Utilization and Quality Assurance Physicians and a Trustee of the Loveladies Property Owners Association.
His hobbies included sailing, tennis and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Coe Null; his sons, Jeffrey A. Null, M.D. of Wilkes Barre, PA and William L. Null, M.D. of Kingston, NY; his daughter, Susan N. Berman of New City, NY; his step-daughter, Donna L. Sebring of Westfield, NJ and his grandsons, Michael, Greg, Stephen, David and Jason Null and Jeremy Berman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Southern Ocean County Hospital, 1140 Route 72 West, Manahawkin, NJ 08050, the Plainfield Humane Society, 75 Rock Ave., Plainfield, NJ 07060 or to the charity of your choice.
