Obituary of Gladys Letter

Gladys Beenders Letter, age 89, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical in Plainfield. She was born in Harlem, Holland and came to the United States in 1924 where she settled in North Plainfield and then in 1991 moved to South Plainfield. Mrs. Letter was a homemaker. She belonged to the Piscataway Senior Citizens Club and was an avid bowler and Yankee fan. Mrs. Letter is predeceased by her husband, Frederic Letter in 1996. Surviving are her son, Fred Letter of Pelican Island, NJ; her daughter, Cookie Fitzgerald of North Plainfield; her grandchildren, Robin, Jay, Paige Jennifer, Jaime and her great-grandchildren, Jasper, Nathaniel, Milo and Willa. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Springdale Methodist Cemetery, Warren, NJ. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
