Obituary of Carlo V. Colitti

Carlo Colitti, age 78, of Brick, formerly of Green Brook, passed away on April 27, 2008, in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30th at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, Warren. Visitation will be held today from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Born in Brindisi, Italy, Mr. Colitti settled in Newark in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era and launched his hairstylist career in Springfield. Mr. Colitti relocated his beauty salon business to Basking Ridge and Bernardsville until his retirement in 2003. Mr. Colitti moved to Green Brook in 1964 until moving to Brick upon retirement. Mr. Colitti enjoyed trips to his native Italy, jogging on the Sea Girt boardwalk and entertaining his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife Catherine OHare Colitti; his children Mario Colitti and his wife Kristin of Tewksbury; Giancarlo Colitti and his wife Connie of Middlesex; Lisa Colitti Lindner and her husband John of Warren; a sister Vera Colitti of Millburn; a brother Aldo Colitti of New York City and six grandchildren, Annabel, Lauren, Jesse, Daniel, Colin and Caroline.
