Obituary of William J. Laurent, Jr.

William J. Bill Laurent, Jr., 44, of Mountainside, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 25, 2008 at his vacation home in Cameron, West Virginia. Bill was born and raised in New Jersey, where he resided, although being an avid outdoorsman, his true love became West Virginia. Bill was a maintenance mechanic for Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals from 1988-2000. He worked at the same capacity at his current employer Sanofi-Aventis of Bridgewater since 2001. He is survived by his loving partner, Beth Margerison; his parents, Joan Laurent and William J. Joe Laurent, Sr. of Mountainside; six siblings and nine nieces and nephews, including, Geralyn and William Scott and family of High Bridge, Michele Sargenti and family of Monroe, Kathy and Vincent Raneiro and family of Stewartsville, Ellen and Marc Rinaldi and family of Kinnelon, Kevin Laurent of Mountainside and Christopher Laurent of Warren. He also leaves behind his devoted Labrador Honey Bear. All are welcome to attend a Memorial Gathering in Bills honor at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 6:00 8:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 8:00 pm.
