Obituary of Mary J. Wilckens

Mary J. Wilckens, age 91 died on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Phillipsburg. Mrs. Wilckens was born in Newark and had lived there until moving to Phillipsburg in 1990. She was a member of the Bethesda Roseville Lutheran Church in Newark, Grace Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg and the Busy Bees of Newark. She enjoyed gardening and long walks. She is predeceased by her husband, Bill Wilckens in 2001. Surviving are her sons, Robert W. and his wife Jane and Dennis J. and his wife Cheryl, all of North Plainfield; her daughter, Susan E. Wilckens of Phillipsburg; her sister, Stephanie Kowalski of Belleville and her three grandchildren, Daniel, James and Kristine. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 8:15 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service at Grace Lutheran Church, Roseberry Street, Phillipsburg. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Interment will be at Greenwich Cemetery, Stewartsville.
