I never met Michael but I first met his wife Loretta (Retta) many years ago.
My heart breaks for Retta, Michael's family and friends.
God Bless.

To Mike's Wife Loretta and His Family:
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Mike was a valued employee and a person who I considered not only a co-worker but a friend. We had many interesting conversations and shared vacation memories, pet stories, our jobs, etc. Mike would give me tips on great restaurants to try and even gave me a Zagat book. He was thoughtful and kindhearted. On several occasions when I was taking up a collection for someone in need, Mike would be one of the first people to come by my desk to make a donation. He was a generous person. When I told him that my husband and I enjoyed wine tasting when we vacation he brought me a map of wineries in our area. He also enjoyed cooking and shared a Beef Wellington recipe with me that he made just a few months ago. He was an interesting individual and a stickler for perfection. There will definitely be a void without him here at Essex and I will surely miss him. I will keep Mike, Loretta and his family in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. With My Sincerest Sympathy, Linda Hinton

I remember the summer at Elk Lake in Pa. Mike's smile from ear to ear and how he always lit up a room...he even came to New Jersey to be my senior prom date in 1976...lost touch and now am sadened to have read about his passing...brought a smile to hear of his enjoyment driving his Corvette because I remember him in his Chevette, and I used to say he drove too fast..My condolences to Loretta, I am sure your many happy memories of Mike will help hold you up through this difficult time. My sympathies for your loss...Kathy
