Obituary of Joseph Peter Marinaccio

Bridgewater: Joseph Marinaccio, age 66, died on Friday May 9, 2008 at his home in Bridgewater. Mr. Marinaccio was born in Montclair and had grown up in Roseland. He had resided in Bloomfield and Florida before moving to Bridgewater 23 years ago. Mr. Marinaccio had worked in the information technology field for 37 years, retiring in 2003 from MetLife Insurance Co. as a program manager. After his retirement, Mr. Marinaccio worked for the Bridgewater Raritan School System as a substitute teacher. Mr. Marinaccio is a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Army. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Bridgewater where he severed as a Eucharistic minister. Mr. Marinaccio was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 5959, having been a member for over 25 years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing bocce ball. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Anne Marie (Falcone) Marinaccio; his mother Florence Marinaccio; a brother Rick Marinaccio and his wife Denise of FL; a niece Lisa Reimers, nephew Brian Marinaccio. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday May 13, 2008 at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ followed by a 10:00 am mass at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Bridgewater. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
