Obituary of David Payne

David Payne; age 82, died on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus. Born in Auburn, NY, David spent most of his life in Secaucus before moving to North Bergen 20 years ago. Mr. Payne served in the United States Marine Corps as a Sargent during the Korean Conflict. He was a truck driver for many years, working for various companies. After retiring he worked for 20 years as a flea market merchant. Surviving are his sons; David Payne and his wife, Swee May of West Caldwell and John Payne of Englishtown; his daughters Robin Szczubelek and her husband, Stephen of Green Brook, Cindy Hopp and her husband, John of Bloomfield; his sister, Madeleine Stella and her husband, Joseph of West Chester, PA; his former wife, Eileen Payne of Brick; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung followed by the interment at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
