Obituary of Cecelia Weis

Cecelia Weis, age 88, of North Edison, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in South River, she resided in North Edison for many years. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union of Highland Park. She was also an accomplished artist. Her husband Alfred A. Weis, Sr. predeceased her in 1972. Surviving are a son, Alfred A. Weis, Jr. and his wife Barbara, two sisters, Rose Stofko and Jane Geresy, a granddaughter, Karen Weis and her fianc, Mike. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15 at 9:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Marys Stony Hill Church, Watchung and interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9
