Obituary of Winnie Fay Clark

Winnie Fay Clark, age 86, died on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Winnie was born in Gaffney, SC to the late Elliott Littlejohn and Ellen Norris. She grew up in Shelby, NC and had lived in Newark and East Orange before residing in Scotch Plains 46 years ago. Winnie worked at the Newark House for 12 years and for the Newark Extended Care Services for 9 years as a nurses aide. She is predeceased by her husband, John C. Clark in 1993. Winnie is survived by her son, John C. Clark, Jr. and his wife Roberta of Plainfield; three daughters, Corliss, Brunella and Debra Ann Clark all of Scotch Plains; one sister, Ella Hill of Red Bank and 6 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 19th at 10 a.m. in St. Bernards R.C. Church, George Street, Plainfield. Interment will be in the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield.
