Obituary of Roger Kwai Fung

Roger Fung, age 91, died on Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in China, he moved to New York City in 1941, before residing in the Plainfield area for over 50 years. Prior to retiring in 1978, he owned Lichee Restaurant in Plainfield. A hard worker, he enjoyed cooking and gardening. He was a member of Tsung Tsin Association for over 60 years. Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Monica Fung; his two sons, Victor Fung and his wife Christine and Philip Fung and his partner Shawn Klein; one grandson, Alex Fung. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, at 8:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
