Obituary of Warren Roane

Mr. Warren L. Roane, 79, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at The Woodlands. Born in VA, he resided in Plainfield for the past 50 years. Prior to retiring in 1992 as the mechanics department supervisor, he was employed by the Westfield Public Works Department for over 50 years. A member and deacon at Bethel Baptist Church in Westfield, Warren was predeceased by his wife Adelle, two sons, Therman Roane and Ernest Williams and a grandson, Jerome Roane. Surviving are a son, Warren H. Roane of PA, a daughter, Barbara J. Roane of Plainfield, a step-daughter, Veronica of VA, three brothers, Ollie and James of Plainfield and Matthew Roane of Somerset Co., a sister, Corine Counts of Plainfield, two grandchildren, Jackie Roane and Kenneth C. Jordan, two great grandchildren, Janaiah and Tyler Jordan and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 4 pm and Monday from 10 am 12 pm followed by a 12 noon Service at the Higgins Home for Funerals, Plainfield. Interment private.
