Obituary of Russell Frederick

Russell Frederick, age 49, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at his home in Plainfield. He was born in Newark and had lived in Cliffwood Beach before moving to Plainfield in 1986. Mr. Frederick graduated from Matawan Regional High School and attended Brookdale College. He was a Chemical Operator/Lab Technician with DuPont in Parlin for over 25 years. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield and he served the United States Army Reserve. He loved all types of football from high school to the pros, wrestling, jazz music and kids. Mr. Frederick is predeceased by a daughter, Alesha Monique Frederick in 1986; his parents James and Alberta Frederick and his sisters, Lucille and Mary. He is survived by his wife, Gina Frederick; his son, Quincy Frederick; his brothers, Johnnie and his wife Jewel of Matawan, Melvin of New York, NY, Michael and his wife Tanya of Jackson, Edward and his wife Terotha of Perth Amboy and Kevin of Cliffwood Beach; his sisters, Patricia Jenerette and her husband Calvin of NC, Maxine Clemens and her husband Gary of Tinton Falls and Marie Frederick of NC. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 14th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 515 West 4th St., Plainfield followed by a 7 p.m. funeral service. The family will be gathering on Wednesday at a time to be announced at the funeral home to process to Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains for interment.
