Kay Joan was a long-time valued member of our club, the Shih Tzu Club of Northern New Jersey.
Most recently, she served as Parliamentarian and Corresponding Secretary for the club. She was also a member of other all-breed clubs including Twin Brooks Kennel Club and Somerset Hills Kennel Club.
We all relied on her to keep our club on the straight and narrow. Her knowledge of AKC rules and regulations was amazing, as well as her knowledge of pedigrees dating back to the fifties.
We could always count on Kay Joan as a member to do the things that needed to be done. She volunteered her time to help in every aspect of putting on a show, a match or an educational event. Her energy was boundless!
She was a warm, wonderful, helpful person. The club will miss her and I will miss her.
